BASKIN-ROBBINS’ ICE CREAM SOCIAL TO RAISE FUNDS FOR SOUTHWEST SYMPHONY

Supporters of Southwest Symphony to Enjoy Tasty Treats and Back Their Favorite Cause

ST. GEORGE, UT – Baskin-Robbins is bringing back the old-fashioned ice cream social with a new twist. The ice cream social is part of Baskin-Robbins’ Fund Raising Program, which was created as a way for ice cream enthusiasts to enjoy delicious treats and support a great cause. On Monday, March 29, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the Baskin-Robbins store at 490 W. St. George Blvd, St. George, UT will host an ice cream social that will raise funds to support the Southwest Symphony Orchestra. The Southwest Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to foster excellence and originality in the presentation and performance of great music. 20% of proceeds from the ice cream social will be directly donated to the organization.

“Ice cream lovers of all ages can come in, socialize, enjoy any of our delicious Baskin-Robbins ice cream treats, and support the Southwest Symphony Orchestra,” said Melinda Cannon local Baskin-Robbins franchisee.

“We’re very happy to have this opportunity to support the Southwest Symphony Orchestra,” added Cannon “We know that local organizations are always looking for new ways to bring their supporters together in a fun atmosphere. We are pleased to help put a smile on people’s faces and help support a very worthwhile organization. It’s an irresistible idea!”

YOUNG ARTISTS TO PERFORM

The Southwest Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual spring concert “Salute to Youth.” Exceptionally talented musicians Kendra Kaneversky, JessiKate Riley, Kirstin Hoyt, Elizabeth Bown, Aubrey Shirts and Steven Bennett will be the featured artists this Friday, March 26th at 7:30 pm in the Cox Performing Arts Center on the Dixie State College campus. Tickets are on sale at the college box office or by calling 435-652-7800.
